GifBoom
GifBoom editing If you're interested in/or active on social networking sites and apps like Instagram, Path or Snapchat, you'll love this new category that 'GifBoom Inc' created. What it does? *commercial mode on* You can now create and even share GIFs, directly from your phone to the whole world. 'GIF' stands for Graphics Interchange Format, meaning it's actually a moving bunch of frames. Old school clips: lots of pictures after each other. So like Instagram, you make a GIF, edit it briefly and then upload it for all your precious followers to see.
I had downloaded it, and upon using it a month later found out it was a great app! It's amazing how innovative and creative people have become in creating GIF's. Until now @thejohndkid has just been 'ReBooming' some favorite explored GIF's, but thinks own footage is still to come.
Though this free smartphone application is not (yet?) available for the Apple or Windows store, it provides tons of possibilities for the majority of app-based phone (Android 4.0 preferred) users. With a rating of 8.132, a great website and millions of free downloads, it's definitely worth a look!

GeoGuessr
Our second great 'G' website to be discussed today, is GeoGuessr. Actually I saw a link one of my friends posted on Facebook, and got curious. It's called a game, by using a Google Maps (Street View) interface without the knowledge of where you're at. The point of this game is to pinpoint where in the world, in the first location shown, you are. There are five places chosen for you to estimate. You're able to compete with friends with a score, based on how close you guessed the location to be.
I must say, it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. The locations they choose for your street view are pretty hard, and often remote. After one game I definitely had had enough. You're not permitted to staying on that site, of course. I came across some trouble with a village called 'Glazov' where everything is spelled with the Russian alphabet, causing me to use Google... Any cities then become a pain, so to get perfect score you'll definitely use Google's maps for extreme accuracy.
A simplified website by Anton Wallen, it sometimes makes me think it's promoting the search engine Google's services. But all in all, a fun way to discover the outdoors whilst on the Internet!
Here's my personal total score of 28824, good luck beating it!
